Machining and Engineering Technologies

Machining and Engineering Technologies is a pre-engineering program that introduces students to reading blueprints, using machine tools such as lathes, mills, programing for 3 or 5 axis Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines, and using waterjet machine to shape materials into precision parts. They use their knowledge of materials and their skills with the tools to design and manufacture products that meet precise specifications. Seniors may earn a spot in the Vantage Career Advanced Placement program, securing employer prior to graduation.

Students will learn to:

Invent, design, and manufacture the tools and components for a wide-range of production needs
Use the same equipment and techniques as industry leaders
