Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education  introduces students to the duties of caring for children of all ages in daycare centers, nursery schools, before and after school programs and private homes. In addition to attending to the children's basic needs, they will learn to organize activities that stimulate their physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. They help the children to explore their interests, develop their talents, build self-esteem and how to get along with others. Early Childhood Education students operate the Vantage Preschool. Career Pathways

A Career Pathway is a collective look at education and training, wage and outlook information for related occupations.  The Vantage Early Childhood Education program can be part of the Career Pathways listed below. Whether a student is interested in going to college, getting a certificate or working right after high school, career pathways can be customized for any ambition or plan.
These career pathways were developed around Ohio’s in-demand occupations, according to the July 2015 In-Demand Occupations. Secondary and post-secondary courses reflect career-tech programs approved by the Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Board of Regents.
