ROBERT BRANDT SCHOLARSHIP
Robert Brandt was the first superintendent of Vantage Vocational School, hired in 1973. He remained superintendent for 27 years. A 1963 graduate of Ohio State University, he earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural education and finance. In 1965, he graduated from Michigan State University, where he earned a master's degree in educational administration, and an educational specialist degree from the University of Cincinnati. He passed away suddenly on May 30, 2005.
One $500 Scholarship will be awarded each school year. This scholarship is designed to assist an adult student with training in the area of Career Technical Education at Vantage Career Center. Applicants must be a Vantage Career Center High School graduate. Applicant must be enrolling in one of these qualifying program at Vantage Career Center: Practical Nursing, Medical Assisting, Police Academy, CDL, Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter I, STNA, or Welding. Applicant must demonstrate financial need or be able to express how the scholarship will enhance their future career. Recipient must complete half of their hours to retain their scholarship. Scholarship funds will be sent to the school and applied to the student's account. Application deadline is August 1 of each school year (July 1 to June 30).
