Robert Brandt Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship to a Vantage senior who will complete an associate or higher degree. Must be a student at Vantage for two years. Preferences will be given to students who will major in agriculture-related fields. Consistent attendance (90% or better), self-reliance, passion for goal, initiative, leadership in community and/or school. Please see Mr. Fisher in student services if you are interested. Click here for the application. Print it out, complete the form and turn into Student Services. Due date is April 27th, 2012.

Robert C. Stevens Scholarship: Exclusively for Vantage Students. Award: Varies from $300 - $500. Selection is made by Vantage Staff. Click here for the application. Print it out, complete the form and turn in to Student Services by April 25, 2012.

Roger K. Thompson Self-Reliant Awards: Award of $400 - $1000 for 10 finalists from Crestview, Lincolnview, Van Wert City and Vantage Career Center (whose home school is Crestview, Lincolnview or Van Wert). Apply at Vantage by March 2, 2012. Click here for the scholarship application.

Abbot & Fenner Business Consultants: $1000.00 Scholarship. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words. Your submissions must be sent to us by email at: scholarships@abbottandfenner.com. The topic for the essay is: What was the most difficult time in your life, and why? How did your perspective on life change as a result of this difficulty? Deadline is June 15, 2012

AEMP - Association of Equipment Management Professionals: This scholarship is an outstanding opportunity for students interested in the heavy equipment industry. All students with an interest in heavy equipment diesel technology and a GPA of 2.0 are eligible. Deadline is May 1st, 2012. Click here for application.

Ag Diesel Students: Three scholarships are available through the Ohio Farmers Union.These scholarships are the Virgil Thompson and Joseph Fichter scholarships. Please Click here to read the requirements and apply. Application deadline is December 31, 2011.

Ag Diesel FFA Students: Statewide Ford-Lincoln Mercury has partnered with Built Ford Tough Trucks and the national FFA organization to provide a total of 2 scholarship(s) at $1000 each. Ag Diesel Students or Students pursuing a career in Agriculture: AGRI-SOLUTIONS has a $1000 scholarship awarded to high school seniors based on scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture and a perceived ability to contribute to agriculture in the future. Student's must be pursuing a two or four year degree in agronomy, crop production or closely related fields. Applications are available by clicking here and must be postmarked no later than February 1, 2012.

Ag Diesel Students: MONSANTO provides several scholarships to students interested in pursuing a career in agricultural education. Check out their website for all their scholarship offerings. Their deadline date for submitting the applications is February 15, 2012. Click here

Beta Delta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi: Psi Iota Xi Sorority's major fields of interest are speech and hearing, art, music, and literature/literacy. Any student planning on majoring in these fields of interest will be given first consideration. There are four scholarships this spring: Vetha Sennebogen for $250 to a Van Wert High School Student, Alta Weisman scholarship for $250 to a Crestview High School student, and two (2) $250 scholarships to a Van Wert High School student. Applications are in Student Services. Application deadline is March 30, 2012.

BIG 33 SCHOLARSHIP: (THERE IS A CURRENT PROBLEM WITH THE BIG 33 SCHOLARSHIP PAGE)This is for high school seniors in Pennsylvania and Ohio. There are multiple scholarships available through this site, so make sure you look at all of them. All Big 33 scholarship applications are available on-line in the scholarship section of the site. Click here. Application deadlines are due on February 6, 2012.

Central Mutual Insurance Scholarship: This is for high school seniors who attend Van Wert, Crestview, Lincolnview or Vantage Career Center. The student must have a minimun 3.0 GPA. The student must turn in the application, transcript, letter of recommendation and an essay titled "My career goal". Deadline is March 31, 2012

Charles L. Warren Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is sponsored by the Ohio Association for College Admissions Counseling. This scholarship is a one time $1000 award. It is given to 3 outstanding seniors who are planning on attending an ohio university or college. The application must show continued commitment to cultural and intellectual diversity. CONVOY TASTEE FREEZE: Crestview seniors only! There will be one male and one female scholarship. Applications are due back in the student services office by April 15, 2012.

DeVRY UNIVERSITY: Scholarships for high school seniors valued at up to $9000 or $1000 per semester. Five available for Vantage students. 2.7 GPA required. Deadline September 1, 2011.

Diane Warnecke Scholarship: Exclusively for a Business Academy Student graduate, who plans to further one's education leading to a degree. Award: $500. Selection is made by the Van Wert County Foundation. Application will be completed in late April, 2012 during the Van Wert County Foundation Program in our Commons Area.

Delphos Optimist Scholarship: This scholarship is available to any Delphos student. One scholarship is given to St. Johns and one to Jefferson. This scholarship is based on the optimistic attitude of the student. This is an on-line application and is due May 6, 2012.

Educational Office Professionals of Ohio: The Lila M Van Sweringen Student Scholarship in the amount of $1000 is available to an individual who wishes to pursue an office-related career. The purpose of EOPO is to promote the professional growth of all persons employed as office personnel in an educational organization in the State of Ohio. Click here for the on-line application. Elks Foundation Scholarship for Technical Students: (36) $1000 Scholarships. Due Date is February 3, 2012. Lettersof recommendations, personal essays and financial need are key factors for this award. Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship: Available to any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen. The application is judged on Scholarship, Leadership and Financial need. Applications are due by Dec 2, 2011. Download the application by clicking here: Elks MVP

Elks National Foundation Legacy Award: Available to the children and grand-children of active Elk members who are high school seniors going to college. Applications are due by February 1, 2012. Download the application by clicking here: Elks Legacy

Hauss - Helms Foundation Scholarship: An applicant must be in the top half of his or her high school class to be a qualified applicant. Each application form contains a copy of the rules and regulations governing the grants and each form contains instructions for its completion. Click here for application. Applications are due by April 15, 2012.

Health Career Seniors: University of St. Francis scholastic competition. Write a 1000 word essay or 25-40 slide powerpoint presentation related to your interest in a health career profession. Health Career Seniors: Any seniors going into a nursing program. The Van Wert Nurses Association is offering two scholarships in May to students attending or planning to attend an accredited nursing school. Applications may be obtained by writing the association at P.O. Box 921 in Van Wert, Ohio. Applicants must live in either Allen, Putnam, Auglaize, Mercer, Paulding or Van Wert counties. Horatio Alger Scholarship: Sponsored by American Electric Power, this is a scholarship for students who are in financial need and have at least a 2.0 GPA. For further information, please click here for information. Deadline is October 30, 2011

Imagine America Scholarship: The Imagine America Foundation sponsors a $1000 career education award that is available to recent high school graduates who are pursuing postsecondary career education at career colleges across America. Each year, every high school may select three (3) graduating seniors to receive $1000 Imagine America scholarships. High school graduates of 2011 can begin applying onJanuary 1, 2012. Go to their website to apply and find out which career colleges are involved.

IPFW Scholarships : Many scholarships are available at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.You must be a first year undergrad student to be eligible. Any senior planning on going to IPFW, please contact student services. Applications are available by clicking here.

IVY TECH COMMUNITY COLLEGE - Three types of scholarship opportunities are available. The Chancellor's Scholarship (2 awards) $6000 total - Deadline March 16. The Choice Scholarship (15 awards) $1000 each - Deadline March 16. Crossroads Scholarship (1 award) Full tuition - Deadline is March 16, 2012. Click here for a list of all IVY TECH scholarships. J.P. Crain Scholarship: Applicant must be a senior or a graduate of a Paulding High School. Consideration will be given for applicant's financial need, scholarship, and character. Deadline is April 15, 2012.

Midwest Electric Scholarships: Six student finalists will compete for $4500 in scholarships from Midwest Electric. Three boys and three girls will vie for two $1000 scholarships, two $750 and two $500 awards. Click here for the application. Applications are due by Feb. 18, 2012

National Technical Honor Society: The society provides scholarships for active NTHS members currently enrolled at the school in which they were inducted. Please click here

National Wild Turkey Scholarship: Minimum 3.0 GPA. Students must support the preservation of the hunting tradition and actively participate in hunting sports. Must reside in Van Wert County and have current hunting license. $250 award. Click here

Northwest State Community College: Presidential & Dean's scholarships are offered by Northwest State. The Presdential Scholarship is an $8000 renewable scholarship for 14 students. The Dean's scholarship is a $4000 renewable scholarship for 28 students. Deadline is April 1, 2012. See student services for the application or click here.

OAGC Foundation Scholarship: Three $1000 scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding individuals interestd in pursuing an education in horticulture/floriculture. Scholarships are available in the new Handbook for Garden Clubs, at oagc.org.

Ohio ACTE - Darrell Parks Scholarship: The Ohio Association for Career Technical Education is offering the annual $1000 Darrell Parks Student Scholarship. Any student enrolled in an Ohio Career and Technical Program is eligible to apply. This is a one time scholarship. Applications are available in student services. Application deadline is March 1, 2012.

Ohio Black Caucus Scholarship: The Leo Lucas Stipend is for any graduating African-American minority student with a desire to attend an Ohio College. Students could receive (one) of (six) $500 awards towards college expense. Ohio Society of CPA's: This scholarship is intended for high school seniors planning to major in accounting at an accredited Ohio college or university during the 2011-12 academic year. Click here to see the many scholarships available and their deadlines for applying.

Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools: The Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools is offering more than 180 scholarship opportunities and over $500,000. These scholoarships are in cooperation with legislative members of the Ohio General Assembly and 35 participating career colleges and schools. The primary objective of these scholarships is to provide students with the education and training necessary to obtain a job in an Ohio business or industry. Click here. Deadline is April 1st.

Ohio Board of Regents State Grants and Other Scholarships:The Ohio Board of Regents' State Grants and Scholarships Departmentoffers eight (8) state-funded financial aid programs that can assist students and families in meetingthe high cost of education. Ohio Credit Union League Chapter Scholarship: The Western Buckeye Chapter of Credit Unions will award eight scholarships in the amount of $500.00 each. You do not need to belong to a credit union to apply. Applications are available in student services. They must be completed no later than February 10, 2012.

Ohio JCI Senate Charitable and Education Foundation: This foundation is made up of life members of the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees)and fifteen (15) $1000 scholarships wil be awarded this year. See student services for the application. Due date is January 9, 2012. Click here

Ohio War Orphans Scholarships: For children of disabled or deceased war veterans. See a counselor for details. Applications are due by July 1, 2012. Click here for requirements and application.

Owens Community College Trustees' Academic Excellence Scholarship: Attending Ownens community college, 3.0 minimum GPA, complete a typed essay, not to exceed three pages, containing a statement of his/her educational goals. See Mr. Fisher for nomination form. Due March 9, 2012

Paulding-Putnam Electric Co-Op Scholarship: Applicant must have a 3.5 minimum GPA and be a son or daughter of parents who have this electric service for their household. Application forms can be obtained by clicking here. Application deadline is February 10, 2012.

Rhodes State College Scholarships: A variety of scholarships are available if you will be attending Rhodes State College. Please click on the following link for more information. Rhodes Scholarships. Deadline is March 12, 2012 at 5:00PM

Rhodes to Success Achievement Scholarship: A merit based scholarship for 2012 high school graduates. Scholarship recipients will each receive a $1000 Rhodes to Success scholarship to be distributed over the fall and spring terms of the 2012 -2013 academic year. Applications are in student services. Deadline is May 1, 2012.

Safety Patrol Members: Any high school senior who once served as a member of a AAA School Safety Patrol Team is eligible to compete for one of ten $1000 grants. Applications are due by April 4, 2012. Click here for application.

Tech Prep Scholarship: Available for seniors presently in Auto Technology and Network Systems through Rhodes State and UNO.

Trade and Industry Scholarship: This scholarship is given by the Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs Foundation. A foundation started by John Ratzenberger to promote students going into the trade and industry field.

Van Wert County Foundation: Award varies from $400 - $2000. Must have 3.00 GP A. Awards are made for sophomore, junior, and senior year of college. Application will be completed in late April at Vantage during an exclusive Van Wert County Foundation Program in our commons area.

Van Wert Rotary Scholarship: Award: $750... renewable for 4 years. Must be selected as a Junior Rotarian by Vantage Staff. Winner must be furthering one's education leading to a degree. Applications are due April 19, 2012.

Van Wert Fruit Growers Scholarship: $200 scholarships will be awarded for two graduating seniors. Can be used for any college-related expenses. Applications are due in the OSU Extension Office by July 1, 2012.

Van Wert County Farm Bureau Scholarship: $1000 scholarship. Open to seniors whose parents are members of the Van Wert County Farm Bureau. 2.5 or higher GPA is necessary. Preference to those studying agriculture, forestry, mechanics, etc. Application deadline is March 15, 2012. Click here for the application.

Wal-Mart Community Scholarship: Must not work at Wal-Mart and must have at least a 2.5 GPA. This is a financial need based scholarship. Click here to apply. Deadline is January 31. Store code for Van Wert is 1333.

West Central Ohio Safety Council:
A $500 scholarship will be awarded with (2) $250 runner-up scholarships. Successful recipients must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the field of Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or a related field. The application is due by March 11, 2012. Applications are in Student Services.

Welding Students: A national scholarship program for students seeking an undergraduate degree in welding engineering, welding technology, or a welding related field. YWCA: The Young Womens Christian Association is offering two (2) $1000 scholarships this year. All Vantage female senior students are eligible. Must be an active church member, volunteer, good morals, display leadership and Christian character. Deadline is April 13, 2012. See Mr. Fisher for application.

BIG SUN SCHOLARSHIP - This scholarship is to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. They are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes areeligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Deadline isJune 27, 2012 and the amount of the award is $500.00
