Early Childhood Education introduces students to the duties of caring for children of all ages in daycare centers, nursery schools, before and after school programs and private homes. In addition to attending to the children's basic needs, they will learn to organize activities that stimulate their physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth. They help the children to explore their interests, develop their talents, build self-esteem and how to get along with others. Early Childhood Education students operate the Vantage Preschool. Students successfully completing this program are eligible to receive college credits through Rhodes State College. Students will learn to

- Education and engage children by preparing them for kindergarten
- Operate a state-licensed preschool
- Explore careers that deal with the education of young children
