During the last weeks leading up to graduation, Vantage seniors celebrated In-Demand Jobs Week by participating in the Fifth Annual Career Advanced Placement (CAP) Signing Day. The event marks the beginning of students’ professional careers, as they and their employers sign certificates solidifying that the students are now full time employees upon graduation from Vantage Career Center.
In-Demand Jobs Week is designed to promote Ohio’s most in-demand and fastest-growing industries through statewide hiring, education, and training events. This year, In-Demand Jobs Week highlighted Ohio’s top jobs that stem from career-focused education and the various paths available to Ohioans. For students, ‘CAP’ Signing Day is a physical representation of the culmination of the two years that they have poured into their career education.
33 Vantage seniors and 21 local employers participated in the momentous occasion, with Director Ben Winans giving opening remarks for the event. “This is an exciting day at Vantage as we continue to celebrate In-Demand Jobs Week. We are proud of our students for their hard work and persistence in obtaining the technical skills our programs teach and our local businesses value.”
