We are excited to share that Vantage Career Center will begin using Remind as our only text messaging system beginning May 7, 2021. After this date, we will no longer be using OhioAlerts, our current system. If you're not already familiar with Remind, it's a classroom communication tool that makes it easy for parents to stay involved with your child's learning and receive school-wide notices. Remind is free to use, and you'll be able to get and send messages on any device. Messages can be received via text, email, or the Remind app.
As part of this rollout, we are having high school parents and students join by texting @vccenter to 81010. If you wish to continue receiving text notifications, you must enroll in Remind. VANTAGE WILL NOT BE IMPORTING NUMBERS FROM THE OLD SYSTEM TO THE NEW SYSTEM. You may also choose to receive notifications through the Remind app. On your iPhone or Android phone, open your web browser and go to the following link: rmd.at/vccenter . Follow the instructions to sign up for Remind. You’ll be prompted to download the Remind mobile app. Note: Adult Education students can text @aevantage to the number 81010 or go to https://www.remind.com/join/aevantage to be added to the Adult Education list.
Our instructors also use Remind to communicate with their students. Parents who are interested in being part of classroom Remind groups should contact that instructor.
