The Ready to Work program provides job training and funding assistance to eligible individuals who are long-term unemployed, underemployed, veterans or their spouses. In many cases, the full cost of training is covered by the program. Participants gain short-term certificates and industry recognized credentials for in-demand careers in Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing, Information Technology and Environmental Services. Training is available at the OTC at Vantage Career Center and a number of local educational partnerships. In addition, Ready to Work provides assessment, career coaching, support services and job placement assistance to qualified participants. Ready to Work is a WSOS Community Action Commission workforce development program funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. Applicants must be residents of one of the Northwest Ohio counties served by the grant.
