Electricity

Electricians install and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including climate control, security and communications. They also install and maintain the electronic controls for machines in business and industry.

Electricians also install coaxial or fiber optic cable for computers and other telecommunications equipment. In addition, they may connect and program automated robotic industrial systems.  Students successfully completing this Tech Prep program are eligible to receive college credit through Rhodes State College.

WHAT WE DO IN THIS PROGRAM:

Design, stage, and install commercial and residential electrical wiring from "rough in" to "finish"

Program robotics and interpret blueprints using logical thinking and math

Troubleshoot analog circuits and digital telecommunications for safe and efficient operation
