Automotive Technicians use high-tech skills to inspect, maintain and repair cars and light trucks that have gasoline engines. Technicians must be able to use computerized equipment and work with electronic components while maintaining their skills with traditional hand tools. Automotive Technicians should be mechanically inclined and have strong communication and analytical skills. Students in this Tech Prep program need good reading, math, and computer skills to stay current with new technology.
