Health Care Workers care for sick and injured patients. Many provide basic bedside care, taking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. They may also prepare and give injections, collect samples for testing, feed patients and assist with bathing and personal hygiene. Students complete a State Approved Nurse Assistant Program and learn medical terminology, medical insurance and computer skills. Health Technology students assist at the annual Vantage Bloodmobile.
