Computer Office Specialist

This program is essential for anyone wanting to work in a healthcare setting, including a physician’s office, health clinic, nursing home or hospital. Upon successful completion of the skills classes, students are eligible to take an industry/employer recognized certification exam, the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and OPAC certification exams.
You will receive specialized training in:
• Insurance Coding

• Medical Transcriptions
• Microsoft Office 2010
• Medical Filing
• Data Entry
• Business English
• Business Math
• Job Search
• Telephone Protocol
Occupations training will qualify you to become:
Information technology skills to the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of standard, customized, or proprietary medical software and associated hardware. Medical records and informatics software applications, information technology, applicable regulations and certifications or licenses.
Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm – 10:00pm
740 hours in 33 weeks.
Tuition fee: $4,400 includes book usage, lab fees and exams.
Financial Aid and Veteran’s Educational benefits are available for those who qualify. A high school diploma or GED is required.
Students must meet with the enrollment coordinator, prior to enrollment.
