CNC Operations

CNC Operations (680 hours)

Machining technology fundamentals will be taught during this program. Students will learn to select, measure, assemble and set machine tools, and to mount, install, align, and secure using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Determining specifications for tooling set-up using prints, instructions and machine knowledge, calculate and set machine controls to position tools and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed and coolant flow will also be covered. Students will start the automatic operation of the CNC machine to machine part, test, set-up, work piece dimensions and programming. Students will work to resolve machine malfunction and production errors and obtain approval to continue production. This program includes an externship. Financial Aid and Veteran’s Educational Benefits may be available for qualified students in this program.

Classes begin in Sept. with an expect to be completed by the end of May.

Classes run Monday - Thursday from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm at a cost of $4,500
