About Vantage Career Center

Vantage Career Center is a public school open to any eleventh or twelfth grade student living within the participating districts. Students looking for a challenge, wanting more, or ready to excel will acquire the expertise, confidence, and work ethic for tomorrow's top careers and professions. Instructors with valuable work experience in their field engage students by teaching technical and academic skills for high demand careers. Programs feature nationally recognized curriculum taught by industry experts using advanced technology and equipment.

Graduates have many options:

  • Enter the workforce immediately after graduation with skills learned in a specific career technical program
  • Enter post-high school training through an approved apprenticeship program
  • Attend a two or four-year college or university
  • Join a branch of the military service

A typical schedule at Vantage includes half of the school day in a career technical lab or mentoring experience and half of the school day in academic and related classes.

The Virtual Learning Academy at Vantage is an innovative option that is available to students who find themselves behind in state-mandated credits for graduation. Students who have deficiencies in math, science, social studies, health and/or English are able to receive credit toward graduation for the successful completion of this internet-based learning opportunity. Vantage pays for the cost of Virtual Learning for Vantage students.

Students are encouraged to continue participation in extracurricular activities at their home school. Students are presented with a career technical certificate in their Career Passport at the annual Vantage Awards Assembly. Graduation takes place at the home school.

Vantage Career Center is an equal opportunity educational institution. Courses and services are offered without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, or handicap.
