New Junior Vantage Student Ambassadors
Class of 2011

I would like to introduce you to an exceptional group of Vantage students –
 the Ambassadors.

soon-to-be-seniors were hand-selected, at the recommendation of their teachers, to accept a leadership role and represent Vantage at different events and activities at school and in their home communities. In addition to serving the school in a student-leader role, meetings provide the students with focused leadership and organizational skills.

If you attended any local parades this summer and fall, you probably saw some Vantage Student Ambassadors riding the Vantage float. Throughout the school year, these students will serve as tour guides when there are visitors to the building. They were on hand during new student/parent orientation at the beginning of the school year to help direct our newcomers to their labs and classrooms. In January, some of these students will share their story when we visit our participating schools and talk to sophomores about the opportunities at Vantage.

This dedicated group of students even met during the summer to plan and organize the annual Vantage Student Appreciation Day which took place earlier in the school year.

Currently, all ambassadors are seniors. At the end of the first semester, teachers will recommend junior students who will be invited to participate in the group. Vantage is very proud of the 2010-2011 student ambassadors.   They are:  Chris Brenneman, Nolan Feathers, Alan Keirns, Mike Herron, Michael Boyd, Anthony Bendele, Curtis Schroeder, Megan Ketchum, Layne Earhart, Sara Gardner, Amelia Pierce, Staphany Wilson, Kayla DeMoss, Zak Kauser, Jayla Miller, Samantha Stein, Anna Morehead, Jerimiah Theis, Cierra Zeigler, Aaron Wehri, Matt Proctor, Megan Stutz, Aryn Denny, Adam Smazenko, Michael Hoersten, Patrick Jackson, Ryan Wehri, and Payton Curran.  Advisors for the group are Dee Howell, Adam Lee, Nancy Keith, Mike Knott and MaryJo Wilhelm.
